Save A Life Saturday
Emergencies can happen anywhere—at home, at work, on the road, or while enjoying the outdoors. In many cases, the actions taken by a bystander in the first few minutes can make the difference between life and death.
Save A Life Saturday is our community education program dedicated to giving residents the confidence and skills to act before emergency responders arrive.
Held throughout the year, these classes are offered free of charge to anyone in our community and include hands-on instruction in:
- CPR for adults, children, and infants
- AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use
- Basic First Aid for common injuries and medical emergencies
- Stop the Bleed® training, including proper tourniquet application and bleeding control techniques
- Recognizing and responding to life-threatening emergencies until EMS arrives
Our goal is simple: train at least one person in every household in Swan Valley. In a rural community, emergency response times can be longer than in urban areas, making prepared citizens an essential part of the chain of survival. By equipping our neighbors with lifesaving skills, we are building a stronger, safer, and more resilient community.
No previous medical experience is necessary. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, teacher, coach, business owner, outdoor enthusiast, or simply someone who wants to be prepared, these classes are designed for everyone.
Together, we can create a community where more people are ready to step in, take action, and save a life when it matters most.
